Having a Mass celebrated for a loved one or a special intention has a long history in the Church. Requesting a Mass to be intended for a specific person, group, or initiative is not only a sign of your own faith, but of your heart for those who say these Masses. The offering you make when requesting a Mass supports both Sacred Heart and its friars.

How to Request a Mass Intention or Memorial Item
Parishioners and visitors are more than welcome to request a Mass by visiting the parish office during normal business hours (M-F, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.), sending an email to office@sacredheartfla.org, or by calling 813-229-1595, ext. 201.
Mass availability is listed in the calendar below. Masses available for an intention to be booked will be highlighted in teal, while those unavailable will be highlighted in gray.
Select the Mass in teal that you would like to put an intention on. This will open up a simple form for you to fill. Please ensure the information input to the form is correct before submitting, as any names/intentions will appear in the parish bulletin as listed.
If you have questions, comments, or instructions for us, please use the “Notes” field for this purpose. You may also use this space to list additional information about the intention… IE: First Anniversary, Birthdays, etc.
To receive a Mass card for your intention, please check the applicable box on the intention request form while also indicating how you would like to receive the Mass card. If you choose “other,” please elaborate in the notes field… IE: if it is being sent to another address other than your own, provide that information in the notes field for us.
Once you have entered all of the details, add the request(s) to the cart.
Memorials can be scheduled on this site in the same way. To book a memorial, such as a sanctuary candle, flowers, etc., choose “Request Memorial” from the toolbar and select the specific memorial item from the list that you would like to put an intention on. Then, follow the same process as above to add your request to the online cart.
Once you have all of your intention requests entered, click the shopping cart in the upper right corner of the screen. Review your intentions to ensure accuracy. You will have the option to add another request, or click the green “Proceed” button to continue.
When in the cart, please enter your contact information. All fields are required. Click “Save and Continue.”
From the “Checkout” Screen, you will have the opportunity to add an additional donation to your offering.
Online intentions and memorials are subject to an additional processing fee
To complete the transaction, select “Pay Now” via credit card. Enter your billing and card information and select “Complete Purchase.”
You will receive an automated confirmation email.
Please note that intention requests are not final until your order has been approved by our office staff. For those paying online, your credit card will not be charged until the intention has been approved. You will receive a notification from the parish if there is a problem with your request(s).
